Since nobody could tell Natalie’s story, both parents attempted to tell their own. David and Beth both wrote books about what happened in Aruba, what they knew happened to Natalee, and what it was like for them to chase the truth. The books would not bring Natalee back, nor would they reveal the location of her body, but they gave her parents an outlet to feel like they’d done something.
