The FBI
No fool, Beth reached out to the Feds for help. They helped her orchestrate a trap for the Van der Sloot boy, a transaction of $15,000 deposited in his account. Once that money went into his account, they could charge him with extortion and fraud. The U.S. District Court of Northern Alabama found Van der Sloot guilty of the crime. They couldn’t extradite him from Aruba for it, but now there was a federal charge from the Untied States with Van der Sloot’s name on it. No fool himself, Van der Sloot knew he needed to get off Aruba. He fled to Peru where he went off the grid for two years.
