How To Make Hawaiian-Style Shoyu Chicken

Ladies and gentleman, it’s time to barbeque! Spring is here! This is my man’s secret chicken recipe that I must share. It’s just so delicious! He was born in Hawaii where he learned how to master this delectable dish! He has served it at many family get togethers and people are always raving about how good it is or asking for the recipe. Get your beach chair ready because this Hawaiian Style Shoyu Chicken will make you feel like you are on the islands! Enjoy!

Ingredients:

8-10 Chicken Legs, Breasts, Thighs
2 ½ Cups of Kikkoman Soy Sauce
½ Cup Brown Sugar
¼ Cup Grated Fresh Ginger
2 Tbsp Sriracha

Here’s what you do:

In a large bowl, grate the fresh ginger, mix in the brown sugar, soy sauce and sriracha. Whisk the marinade together until blended. Let the chicken marinate overnight or if you don’t have the time 1-2 hours will work. The longer the better! Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Place the chicken in a glass baking dish and pour the marinade over the chicken and cook for 45 minutes. Save the sauce to pour over the plates at the end. Finish off the chicken on the grill for 15-20 minutes until you get those yummy crispy edges! This chicken pairs well with white or brown rice, classic macaroni salad and curry veggies!
