Sold only for a year, this was another victim of Apple’s design standard. It was beautiful but put the iPod in a precarious position. Not only that, less expensive speakers offered a less vulnerable dock position. The Hi-Fi was $350. It also suffered compatibility issues with several iPods, controller functionality limitations, and no AM/FM radio. No surprise, after Apple pulled this speaker they recommended fans go with any of their third-party speaker systems.
