To this day, Apple struggles to ditch its Dad music reputation. They’ve even made good with Taylor Swift, signed on Doctor Dre, but the choice to partner with U2 put a dent in Apple’s cool card. The U2 edition iPod of 2004 was higher priced than its non-U2 counterparts, offering only some extra tracks, a few screened signatures from the band wrapped in a red and black design. Other than that, it was the same as the less expensive versions. Guess what happened? Sorry, Apple. Fail.
