This one seems a little odd, but apparently “scrunchie” hair ties are considered fashion faux pas. I can see how showing up to a business dinner wearing bright pink scrunchies in your hair might not look all that professional. But other than that extreme scenario, I don’t really see the problem. As a replacement, it’s recommended to use a fashionable ponytail by taking a section of your own hair and wrapping it around a standard type of hair tie.
