We can blame the tiny homes movement and the Jetsons. Remember? George Jetson’s flying car folded up into a briefcase. Well, in the future, his pop-up home would fold into, well, a cube. Echo Sphere technologies created something they call the power cube. Jetson would be smitten. The power cube can drop into any wasteland, ready to support life for an unknown amount of time. They claim their system is sustainable, using solar power, connecting as far as 30 miles from the nearest signal. Applications are, of course, military, humanitarian, and disaster relief. We see the potential for drop anywhere remote island beach homes.
