While today you can control things like lights, thermostats, even kitchen appliances from anywhere in the world, in time you will be able to control your whole house. Away from home and need someone to check on something, but there’s no spare key? Open that door remotely. Don’t forget to turn off the alarm, adjust the temperature, maybe turn on a few lights. These things are all just common courtesy in the future.
