Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk aren’t the only two names in the space race. Richard Branson from Virgin Atlantic is also going into space. In fact, Branson was more focused on private space travel than the other two prior to the 2015 crash of Virgin Atlantic’s spaceship. In the private sector, there are dozens of companies worldwide. The variety of ways they intend to enter the race, if they haven’t already, include traditional rockets, airplanes that launch the craft (in the case of Virgin), and balloon travel.
