MobileMe (2000)
We only three software fails on this list. This is number two. MobileMe predated Apple’s iCloud, functioning as the transition from Apples .Mac services which were itself introduced to replace iTools. MobileMe was a collection of tools, available to subscribers, email, and networking services. The cost for membership was high, much higher than other similar products. For fanboys, MobileMe like .Mac before it gave them an email address with ties to Apple. It was the first service where users could track their iPhone, but performance was inconsistent. Apple was out-priced. Most of what MobileMe offered was already free elsewhere.
