Device Mesh
Wearable technologies give average Joes and Janes access to more aspects of their health than ever before, without a doctor. The best example is, prior to 2016 the cardio standard of VO2 max measurements were only possible in a lab. Now the devices that measure these data are networking. It’s called the device mesh. Some companies, like Phillips, Under Armour, and others offer wearable suites, which do just that. Your smartwatch talks to your fitness tracker, your scale, you car and your doctor’s office. The Internet of Things in 2017 will advance beyond early adopters. The likelihood that simple devices in your life will connect by the end of 2017 is high.
