Level 3 Autonomous Cars

The future is cars that drive themselves without a captain. That’s level four autonomy in a system that covers five. We’re not there yet. Oh, sure, we have level fours, but they aren’t likely to cart your booty around anytime soon. Those cars are still in development. It is more likely that you will ride in a level three. In fact, Uber just announced last month that they are rolling out the autonomous cars in Pittsburgh. There will still be a driver in these cars, but that driver will only take the controls if prompted by the car itself. Your driver may spend more time chatting with you. Isn’t that nice?
